An excited audience awaited the arrival of Alison Eastwood, who was honored this evening by The Monterey County Film
Commission. The special premier showing was held at the newly renovated Lighthouse Cinemas, in Pacific Grove. The event
was presented with a few words from the Mayor of Pacific Grove, Daniel E. Cort and Anne Sanchez, President of the MCFC.
Alison's father, Clint Eastwood spoke a few words on behalf of Alison's directorial debut. He noted that 38 years ago, he
made his directorial debut as well, with the film he shot on location in Monterey County, "Play Misty For Me". The "Apple
does not fall from the tree", with Alison's film making capabilities. Her film was extremely well received, with a very moving
story with complex and sensitive issues. Alison has proven herself the be a very talented young filmmaker and we look forward
to her many more successes ahead.
Congratulations Alison, a superb first film to your credit!
