The areas surrounding Big Sur, have been devastated by massive fires that were started Saturday June 21st, on the Summer Solstice,
by tremendous Thunder Storms that rolled through the Monterey Peninsula. Please click this link to see how the area is coping
with this disaster and how you can help. These fires not only displaced those that live and work in Big Sur, the fires have
affected large numbers of Peninsula residents that work and do business in the area. The affects of these fires will impact
our local community for years to come. Please do what you can to help. Financial support is greatly needed by those that have

FIND YOUR FRIENDS AND LOVED ONES - To locate friends and loved ones that may have been affected by the fires, please go to
the Red Cross website: http://www.arccarmel.org There is a link on their site called "Safe and Well", that will help you try
to locate individuals. Please be patient, they are presently implementing strategies that will allow individuals to register
on the website, which will help the process move as smoothly as possible. Go to: https://disastersafe.redcross.org/
INFORMATION MEETINGS
THE COAST PROPERTY
OWNER'S ASSOCIATION (CPOA) - held a meeting on Friday, July 4th, at 6 PM at the Carmel Middle School located on Carmel
Valley Rd. They discussed the financial assistance programs that are available. The CPOA has begun providing grants
to residents and employees impacted by the fires, effective July 1st. To receive a helping hand, contact Jeannie Ford,

There will be General Update Meetings, at the
Carmel Middle School. Everyone is welcome to attend and will be provided with up to date information. Please

or services to those that may be in need during these extremely stressful times.
